Chocolate tank supplies truffle production unit
 28.10.2010

On Friday August 27, 2010 three trucks loaded with liquid couverture chocolate pulled up to the terminal of the 20-meter high chocolate tank at the Elmshorn Wiebold chocolate factory site. Shortly afterwards company president Sarah Wiebold threw the switch which set the “Hemingway Roulette Kugeln” truffle production line in motion.

The third generation of Wiebold to lead the company, Sarah Wiebold has set a new benchmark for entry-level pricing in the premium chocolate truffles segment. By the end of the year the company intends to have the product fully established on the market. As part of a sales offensive, the Elmshorn company rolled out an attractive sampling campaign featuring a 200g package retailing at a recommended price of €1.00.

The chocolate confections are also offered to specialist retailers in a transparent bag with a clip closure.

The Wiebold team developed its “Hemingway Roulette Kugeln” with chocolate sprinkles as a special export product primarily for a U.S.-based customer.

On the evening of the same day Wiebold’s management team opened the summer barbecue and expressed thanks to all the employees for their many years of faithful service and outstanding commitment which has formed the basis for the company’s success.

Several people were honored as they marked up to 35 years of employment with the company.

Special thanks were also expressed to the BSA/Schneider company and its employees who supplied several hundred meters of piping and control technology and the chocolate storage tank while meeting the delivery schedule down to the minute.
